In 2020 at SASK, I graduated with my masters degree. This artistic journey shaped me into the designer I am today. Drawing upon the lessons learned, my designs continue to evolve, pushing the boundaries of creativity and self-expression. My designs are imbued with the same dedication and artistic vision that drove my masters collection.
I draw inspiration from my own fingerprint, that is used in fabrics as textile printing representing the contemporary pressures and control we face today. In each design there’s a visual tension between the voluminous drapings of Touareg with the sleek lines of western seventies attire. You’ll discover a harmonious fusion of artistic expression in the symbolic battle between tradition and modernity. At the heart of my collection lies the unique handcrafted artful linoleum technique.
I take pride in printing my fabrics and creating my own textile paint colours, ensuring that every piece reflects the essence of my vision. Embracing the spirit of sustainability and supporting local artists, I produce as much as possible in my own atelier in Antwerp. By doing so, I do not only showcase the city’s rich heritage of craftsmanship, but also contribute to a more sustainable future for the community.
